My kids love all things crafty and artistic, so they were thrilled we had the opportunity to review the new Magic Stix markers, by The Pencil Grip. They literally cheered when we opened the box and they took out their new craft supply. Within minutes Hannah was seated at the table with her new markers and a giant stack of paper. She has been drawing ever since.
I am a big fan of all of The Pencil Grip items we have reviewed. This company really thinks things through and gets it right the first time. Their new Magic Stix markers are no exception. These innovative markers solve some of my biggest marker grips – flimsy cardboard box storage, dried out ink, and matching up caps with markers.
Here are a few of the things I love about Magic Stix markers.
Magic Stix Markers
Hard plastic case
The Magic Stix markers are packaged in a hard plastic case that will last much longer than the standard cardboard box. The case closes with two tabs that are easy enough for young children to manipulate, but sturdy enough to securely fasten the case. This case design ensures that the markers stay where they belong and don’t roll around bags or drawers. I love products with built in organization!
Won’t dry out for 7 days – guaranteed
These markers truly are magic! Your kids can leave the caps off for 7 days without any reduction in ink quality. We tidy our school room (aka our dining room) every night, but occasionally miss art supplies that have fallen and rolled under the table. With the Magic Stix markers we can just pop the cap back on and use them again next time. No more throwing away dried out markers! This is better for my wallet and the environment.
Uniform cap color
Every Magic Stix marker cap is the same shade of dark blue. I love this because it makes the caps interchangeable, which speeds up clean up time. This is such a little thing, but it makes me happy.
The Pencil Grip tempera paint sticks are known for their bold colors and the Magic Stix markers are no different. We tested out the 12 pack of markers and were impressed by the bright bold colors. The classic 12 pack includes – pink, red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue, violet, purple, brown, and black. A 24 pack is available that includes the classic colors and additional shades.
Washable art supplies mean that my kids can use them any time they want. This ink will wash out of clothing and easily wipes off of tables.
My kids are thankfully past the stage of putting things in their mouths, but I do appreciate that Magic Stix are non-toxic. I love gifting craft supplies to my little nieces and nephews and non-toxic supplies are an absolute must.
The longer I am a parent and teacher, the more I feel compelled to buy quality materials the first time. I think Magic Stix markers will be the only type of marker I buy from now on. We of course use them at home, but the case and washable ink means they are ideal to travel with too.
*I received a complimentary 12 pack of Magic Stix washable markers in exchange for an honest review.*
