Back to school time is busy – regardless of whether your kids are homeschooled or in public school. One way I save time and money is to do my back to homeschool shopping on Amazon.
Ordering school supplies in bulk on Amazon means that I won’t run out of supplies halfway through a lap book project or paper in the middle of printing new pages for my lesson plan binder.
I love doing my back to homeschool shopping online because I can control the environment. My couch is comfy, my favorite shows are playing on Netflix, the temperature is exactly the way I like it, and a cup of hot tea is always within reach. I don’t even need to wear shoes!
Shopping online has the added benefit of being able to efficiently compare prices with out running all over time.

Scissors always seem to disappear in my house. Buying them in bulk means that I can always find scissors when I need them. I even put one with my gift wrapping supplies.

I am picky about the brand of pencils we use. Is that a homeschool mom thing? Ticonderga pencils are my favorite because they sharpen well and don’t break as often as cute character pencils. They are the only pencils I buy.

Another advantage of doing back to homeschool shopping online is the availability of hard to find products.

Printer paper is something that I always buy in bulk. It generally gets cheaper the more you buy and I know we will eventually use it.
Printer Ink
Printing lesson plans, coloring pages, lapbook pages, free printables, and etc. uses up a lot of ink. I once had to run to the library to print plane boarding passes just minutes before closing time because we ran out of ink faster than I expected.
Ever since then I make sure to have at least one spare of each printer ink cartridge.

Dry erase markers are another item that I buy every year on my back to homeschool shopping trip. We use dry erase markers every single day in our homeschool.
I use them to write on the large whiteboard in our school area, my kids use them on their personal size whiteboards, we use them on our magnetic refrigerator calendar, and my husband even has a whiteboard in his home office.
